I am not that familiar with a C so hope I don't lead you in the wrong direction. If the C is anything like an H or M, the clutch pedal and the two brake pedals are mounted on a common shaft. The pedals are supposed to operate independently of each other, but quite often will get sticky on the shaft and when you depress the clutch the motion will be transferred over to the brakes. Liberal amounts of WD-40 or similar will cure this. Apply the lube where the pedals are mounted to the shaft and work them until they operate completely independent of each other. It may take several applications.
