It is $1.95 or so here in ST Louis but it should be $3.00! Think about it. When I got my first car in 1960 gas was $.33 cents a gallon and I was making about $100 a week. When I retired I was making over 10 times that much. Nickel candy bars are now $.69! Etc, etc... meaning inflation has gone up about 10 -12 to one. Gas should cost OVER $3.00! I don"t suppose that"s the answer you wanted to hear. In 1960 very few cars got 20 MPG either.
