Wait for some others to drop in. I think it is take a jumper from the F "field" terminal to case ground. Hook the positive jumper cable to the A " armature" terminal. Now take the negative jumper and touch the case of your generator. It will make some sparks so watch out! It should run. Been about 20 years since I did one on the farm. Changed all of the tractors over to altinators. Jeffcat
