great idea idea scotty....I thought of drilling the hole, but for some reason the left hand tap, and bolt never crossed my mind. I knew I would get a workable solution here. I knew I had better add that I did not have a stick welder as I knew that would be one of the first suggestions. (I do want to acquire one someday though) I am going to print your response for my shopping list at Napa. Guess I had better find a plug as well....anyone know the size and thread of plug that will work in there? Would a standard size pipe plug work?
