Rear Lights

It appears that there are two bullet shaped rear lights for the letter series. One has a seperate little red lens and bullet at the top of the white lens light. The other has just one "housing" and the reflector has a red lens insert in it. They are both "switched" housings, to go from red to white. Was there a year/model application on these? Or was it just whatever the dealer had in stock? Which would be correct for the 1949 H? My neighbor has a 1950 H all one owner original he bought new and it has the light with the little bullet on top. GordoSD
