You don't suppose that we've flushed some debris out of an oil passage somewhere?

I think I'd change the oil and filter and go again. See if it repeats this habit.

Just an old man guessing, but I kinda feel the grey color is due to dirt rather than water; water usually throws a "baby poop" color, doesn't it?
