The ignition switch (kill switch for the magneto) is located in a chamber in the front end of the manifold. Should be a wire from the kill terminal on the mag to the chamber going through a hole with a grommet. As Paul said, the switch is operated by the gas/diesel switchover lever along with all the other things that go on when the lever is changed over from gas to diesel and also the other way around.
