Might try what I'm doing with mine, I'm putting a Chev 2.8 liter V6 in mine. I am mounting a chev 4 speed transmission in the torque tube that will be locked in second gear.the V6 at 3800 will match the H at 1650rpm. ground speed will be almost the same. My H mowes and rakes hay and runs augers .
