Bob M is on the money with that bushing item. Several different thread pitches on the retaining nut that screws into the reducer bushing. I recommend if you are going to try this without draining the coolant down that you cut the old guage's connecting tube/line and get the old gauge out of the hole up by the steering rod support. Feed the line from the new gauge through the gauge hole first so you can mount the gauge in that bracket without having to unscrew the sensor bulb from that bushing the second time. If a new bushing came with the new gauge make sure you put some pipe dope on the male threads that screw into the head if you cannot re-use the old bushing.
