Brian, I"m about 66.67% through restoring a 1959 Cub I bought around Thanksgiving a year ago. I am having a great time tinkering with it, ALMOST completed with priming the chassis. A fun little tractor to work on. Prior to teardown, I mowed with it some this spring. They aren"t the most powerful machines around (+/- 8hp), but for finish mowing of short grass they do a really good job. It ain"t no bushhog, though. And they"re great for light utility hauling around. One of the nice things is that they seem to hold their value. If, after purchase, you decide it"s not for you, you should be able to recoup your investment, assuming you didn"t pay too much for it in the first place.
