Well the first thing I would have thought is you burnt the points together but you say you changed them so . Do you have a balast resistor if so you need to bypass it with a jumper wire and see if that works. I would take an 12 test light and check to see if you have power going to the points if you do take the plastic plate off and reinstall the rotor and find a spot by turning over the motor with the key on till the points open then take the rotor and turn it back and forth and look for spark between the gap. Let us know what you find. JON
