This is something I would fix immediately. I know you don't want to mess up a new paint job, but freeze plugs are pretty easy to replace, and the alternative is you could have to rebuild the engine (worst case). If you are careful, the most paint you should have to redo would be several bolt heads. My money says fix it now before it becomes a real problem and costs a lot more. Phil
