Dente: Just one other item Dave didn't mention, after all these years you can have some build up in water jacket impeeding that flow. A water pump can be added, however that may not completely cure the problem. You still may not get good circulation around all cylinders.

There are aftermarket temp gauges can be added. I have never bothered with one as these little tractors have gone successfully for 50 years without.

Now if you are concerned about the gurgleing and bubbling going on after you shut tractor off, don't worry about it, your Super A or A have been doing that since new. To alleviate that somewhat let your tractor idle until it cools down some before shutting it off.
