Super A Hybrid???

I just moved back to the country and bought a Farmall Super A (serial number 256199) from my recently-widowed neighbor. Since the carburetor's float pivot pin was severely pitted and the main gasket was in poor shape, I bought a carburetor kit and hit a snag. The kit for the above serial number didn't fit. Further investigation revealed an engine block serial number that looks like 354898 with a casting date that looks like *6-20-X*. The carburetor is a Zenith, not a Carter, etc.

What sort of a hybrid do I have here??? and what do I tell the carburetor kit merchant on my second attempt?
