What does it do with a little ether? I had a JD with real low compression. It would always start and run ok though low on power. One spring after it sat all winter it wouldn't start. Nothing we could would make it even pop. We squirted some oil in the cylinders to give it better compression, nothing. gas in the cylinders, nothing. Ether, nothing. Then we got discused and we were towing it to my friends place so it could sit there for a while. On the way I threw it in 4th and let the clutch out. Darn if it didn't start.
