sscattle: You should just consider cutting cab down to where you want it. That cab and platform are quite different from earlier models such as 56 and 66. I rather doubt you get rid of a lot of weight. If you remove glass, insulation, doors and some sheet metal, your really back to 4 post canopy anyhow. I'd be willing to bet that aside from platform, glass and doors are 65% of weight of that cab.
