Dave, Oh that was a cruel line... but I'm goin' to remember it! This is a difficult issue, buying something from a relative and putting an agreeable value to it. I'm thinking that a person (the buyer) is better off to ask what the owner thinks is fair. The worth of an old (yet restorable) tractor may be a tough call for a new enthusiast. Ripper's Grandmother may be just tickled that he wants to restore some old family history. I bet she will be very supportive of his project. The other scenario may be that the old machine just continues to sit in it's current state and in another twenty-five years, nobody sees its worth. Good eye Ripper!
