I found a IH Wide Front late style with tie rods to back off a 400 for $400+$70 freight to go on my M. Before shipping they found axel tube cracked in the back all the way across. They will sell WF now for $300. They have a new IH tube they will send along for $200 no less. What do you think? I can get the pipe & bushings, cut & lay it out & take it to a welding shop to drill & weld. (I don't have a drill press & my welds are not professional) Looks like a bushing welded in the axel for the pivot pin bushing & pin to slide in and 2 bushings welded to the bottom of the tube for the stay rod to fit in. Does anyone know if these bushings are hardened steel or anything special? Or should I just buy the new tube?
