Need help Rewiring H: part two

I rewired my H with magneto following the instructions on this website. It did not charge. I went through the Charging system diognostics on the web and came down to the genarator not charging. I have a second generator that was checked out OK a few years ago, but does not any mounting holes for the regulator. I know the second genarator came off another Farmall, but do not remember the model. Can the regulator be located some where on the tractor frame or does it need to be mounted on the genarator? Have I missed any steps to figure this out?
