If you had a sheared key on the drive gear, how could your distributor still be turning?

I think if the trouble is in the pump, it must be a wobbled out aluminum body against that steel gear?? But this should have showed up as the hydraulics getting progressively weaker, I would think.

Would you let us know what you find?
