I agree with Allen as well. A riding mower would probably be just the ticket for the acre piece you have, the SH may be a bit cumbersome to use in that small area. But, if you have your heart set on using the SH, I can understand. A finish mower (either 3pt or pull type) would be great for a yard, as long as you keep the blades sharp it will cut real nice. I have never been a big belly mower fan but it would be more manuverable set up that way. Have fun with your new property and welcome back to the states. Had enough of the hurricanes huh?
