About the engine you have answered your own question. If it has 264 on block its a 400 or 450 with 400 engine. Not enough differance in engines to worry much about. Most 264 have been changed over years to 281,also most gasoline used same clinder head.Later 400 went to smaller wrist pin which carried through 450.450 changed to left hand thread camshaft gear nut after early ones. Early 400 cast # on block ended in R1,later 400 and 450 ended R2.On missing serial #,is it missing on engine or tractor? If engine may be replacement block.
