Farmall C Governor

I have a couple of questions of the governor on my C. I went to adjust the idle, and she ran wide open after that. After removing the governor, I see that the rock shaft, that runs the thrust bearing has a lot of end play, in and out. In the bottom of the governor case, there is a pin, and it is supposed to keep it aligned, I would guess. I *think* that while I was adjusting the yolk on the outside, that I must have turned the rockshaft and slid it out, thus making it not aligned. Is it normal for there to be this end play? Is that pin the only thing keeping it centered, or should there be bushings on the end of some sort?

Also, after doing some research, I decided to examine the spring in the bottom - broke it. No problem. It was rusty as . But is the thrust bearing supposed to be a 3 piece bearing? I have 2 outer roller races, and the roller bearings themselves in their own keeper. They seem good, and I *think* it's supposed to be 3 pieces, but wanted to make sure being I'm ordering the spring anyways.
