Keep in mind that when you pull the torque back it will free-wheel. Not a problem on the level or up hill. Big problem when pulling a load down a hill. The gas cap has a couple of vent holes in it that should allow air into the tank as gas is used or let air in when the gas in the tank expands during a hot day. You may be able to take thin wire and work it in or blow it out with an air hose. Best solution would be a new gas cap.
