I have an M with a wide front and I want to go to a narrow front. (Don't ask I'm keeping the wide front) My problem is I got the front pedistel and of course my wheels and hubs didn't fit on it. The wide front end uses smaller spindle diameters. So I got a narrow front with the hubs. Ah I figured I'm good now I'll just bolt my rims to the narrow hubs and be done. Nope! The hubs that are on my wide front have a flange that the rim sits against and then you put the bolts and keepers on and squeeze the rim onto the flange. On the hubs that came with the narrow front there is no flange. I think I'm missing something. The book I have shows some other part in there but I can't make it out to well. What do I need? Can I do this? There is also a welded on index on my rims that fits into a slot on the wide front hubs. The narrow front hubs don't have this slot either. Disappointed.
