Yes, the clutch pedal adjustments, and spring
are fine and haven't changed. We took off the
inspection plate and found the problem.
You can see where the fingers on the pressure plate are "ground down".. this causes the release
bearing to have to travel another 1/4" to 1/2"
to even make contact with the fingers, thus release
from the clutch plate.

My dad is experienced in doing these types of
"operations", and he's confident we can fix it.
We have enough heavy-duty jacks, safety jacks,
etc to make an attempt, so wish us luck !!
