Yep, worked just like the AC wheel clutches, stopped the wheels from turning while the PTO continued to run. Not real common, but not what I'd call rare, either. Parts are nearly impossible to get, if it needs work. They worked well if you ran a PTO combine or baler, especially one of those small round jobs that AC made back in the day. With those, you had to stop & wrap each bale, so without live power or the wheel clutch, it was a real pain to operate. That's why AC developed its clutch, I'm sure. (My $0.02 worth. jal-SD)
