i found a farmall H with a M&W hand clutch mounted on the LH side of the trans case, i am not an IH guy, so please excuse me if this is an ignorant question. was that used to release the transmision so the tractor would then have "live" pto, similar to the set up on the old Allis Chalmers? was it some sort of over/under drive? how rare was this? the owner is wanting to trade this on another tractor, i know what the tractor is worth in our area, but i have never seen this clutch before, is it worth more on the tractor or sold as a unit by itself? if so, what is the clutch assembly worth? it seems to be complete with all the opperating linkage. any help would be great, thanks in advance.
