please help

I wrote earlier and didn't get a response.....I just drained all the hydraulic fluid out and there were two compartments that didn't drain from the trans plug or the plug under the pump drive ..one compartment had a separate drain ..but one didn't have any drain.....I removed all the fluid cuz it was old and now I just put in six or so gallons and the trans is up and so is the compartment for the pump drive but there are two compartments that didn't collect any oil.... are these supposed to be filled by removing the inspection plate.how much .....nothing is said about this in any of the manuals....those gears must require some oil?????? thanks for any help....ken
