Whew, you folks really got my head spinnin' with all the advice and experience you have had. I have an '02 Chev 1500HD running a 6L engine with an 8,000# Hudson tag-along tandem with brakes. But with the wheel width not fitting between the fenders, and the fact that I will be hauling from mid-Minnesota to the hills of east Tenn, I'm thinking I may need to find a heavier rig to use. Thanks to all for the comments. I appreciate your time and input.
