Don't overlook the obvious. Air filter & fuel filters. Does the 756 have the Bosch pump with the advance? Our 826 was hard to start cold for a while, replaced both air & both fuel filters & learned how to use that advance on the fuel pump & the 826 turned into an easy starter. After engine turns over about once, gently pull out on the advance - it feels like the choke on a gas motor.

Up till then, this tractor had been running a corn grinder and pulling a trailer. It had new unfilled rear tires and no wheel weights.
