The surface of the release fingers (the part that runs on the throwout bearing) is supposed to be 2 5/32" from the face of the pressure plate. Is yours close to that ? If so, take the pin out of the end of the clutch linkage rod and unscrew the clevis until you get 1 1/8" freeplay between the pedal and the deck.
