IHC 354 Throttle Control Handle

The roll-pin at the bottom of the throttle handle shaft, connecting the shaft to the first link in the throttle link assy. either broke or slipped out. Throttle handle no longer has effect on engine, actually can be pulled up and out. I manually operate the last link into the injector pump, which is inconvenient. What is the best way to access this connection; must I dis-assemble the front control panel to gain access? A mirror is needed to see the components. Suggestions!!
