Matt: I also have a '46 H Farmall. I tried replacing just the rings as you did but came to find out they would not fit right. So ended up just replacing the whole works.....sleeves, pistons, rings. Even connecting rod bearings since I was in there anyway. The problem is that the set of rings is matched to the piston so many times the rings will not fit or will be to lose on used pistons. There is both a oil seal and a felt washer on the belt pulley shaft. I got both at my CASE/IH dealer with no problem. If you need the original part numbers I can get them to you. I found it easy enough after you take off the whole pulley assembly and work on it at the work bench. It is heavy!
