My son & I just finished an "H" engine rebuild. We took all the bolts out to more easily remove the sleeves. The long bolts are located as follows: in the center of the head are 3 bolt holes with a circular pattern around the them. They are nearly under the rocker arms. These 3 are where the 3 thick washers go so the bolts need to be a bit longer. On the left side of the head the throttle pivot bracket is located; it needs 2 longer bolts also. CAUTION #1: Be sure to put a sealant on the threads when installing if the bolt hole protrudes into the cooling passage. (poke a wire into the hole to see if it it bottoms out or goes on into the cooling passage. CAUTION #2: measure the thickness of the head plus gasket thickness and only thread the bolts in far enough so the nuts can have full thread engagement. We had to back some bolts outa little when the nut only had 3/4 of the thread used. Experience, you know!!
Check my posting a couple days ago regarding rocker arm service, you want them to work well.
