I think that the vast majority of our LOCAL politicans are trying to do a impossible job with their hands tied behind their backs. Our local budgets are being eaten up by the human services (welfare). Locally, we had a 2 lane black top road re-surfaced 2 years ago. We got some state money to help do the job, the state inspectors left the contractor do a substandard job, the contractor declared bankruptcy, and now we have a 2 year old, rough road going to pieces. We also have a murder trial starting, have the DNA from the "poor innocent" scumbag, (from when he raped her, then murdered her). I din't want to know how much we are going to spend to protect this scumbag's rights. It doesn't seem he was too worried about the woman's rights when he was violating her.
