Jim If I am understanding your question correctly.
You have two locations to apply your shifter, if that is the case all you have to do is find a 400 or 450 in the junk yard, they have the plate you may need JG

Tractor Traction - by Chris Pratt. Our first bout with traction problems came when cultivatin with our Massey-Harris Pony. Up till then, this tractor had been running a corn grinder and pulling a trailer. It had new unfilled rear tires and no wheel weights.
