Dan, The missing part is called the bellcrank adjusting link, part # 517 824 R1. Those links ,it seems, always were taken of the tractors and got lost.I have a Super C with it missing also. If my memory serves me, I think that Harold Robinson had some new reproduction links at the 2003 Red Power in Bloomsburg,PA. He has lots of NOS,reproduction and used IH parts and is a real good guy to deal with. Here`s his phone # (660)766-2762. He`s a hard guy to get a hold of sometimes, so keep trying if no answer. His ad in Red Power magazine says to call between 5:00 and 9:30 P.M. Mon - Sat. No calls on Sunday. On your other problem, the balls are held onto the u-shaped yoke with a roll pin or solid pin. Drive the pins out and rotate the ball 180 degrees. My bet is that the balls have a groove worn in them and by rotating them you`ll be riding on an unworn part of the ball. At least thats what worked on my hitch. Mark
