Cheg, The normal school of thought is that if you tighten something enough, you will stop it from leaking. Not necessarily so. With the brass compression washers, (actually gaskets) you can over tighten them. Your "H" has several. The oil filter canister has one, the valve cover has two, the right hand jacket cover on the engine block has two, and if I'm not mistaking, the oil pan may have them. In each case, if you over tighten, you will create more leaks than you cure. When you install one, snug it up only until it stops seeping and maybe a budge past tht and no more.
