Sounds like the ball and accompanying spring that keeps tension on the choke lever. There is a hole for it just in front of the choke shaft hole. You also need to find the spring. Part numbers for ball and spring are 52791R1 and 46059D. Your carb is a D-10, distillate has a drain cock and different jets, but I have seen gas only carbs with the drain cock also. Carbs are otherwise the same.
