The inner bearing came out easily. I am referring to the outer bearing which is next to the retainer and the wheel hub. The retainer is within a quarter of an inch of the hub and one must be able to get some kind of remover to remove the bearing next to it. Does a person have to cut off the bearing so he can slide the retainer off? This particular axle shaft has the hub cast on the outer end so the seal can't be removed from that end. I suppose I could cut the bearing off and then try to find a sealed bearing that would replace it, since the retainer is now cracked. What are your thoughts?
