Adding to comments, my dad overhauled our M a number of times and had the horsepower at 50 or slightly over. He had fluid in the tires, widened rims, and two sets of weights to hold it. Problem was in our eastern Kansas soils 3rd gear would go out the 2nd day pulling 4-14's. Second gear would handle it.
