Thanks, I read an article about a Idelta or triangle punched in the ID plate following the serial number. I wasn't sure what the S-Y stood for. Like you said, it was for upgraded carriers or bearings. Appreciate the help. Also, this tractor was upgraded, probably by the owner, to 12 volt. I'll run some tests on it in the morning to see if I can get it running. Are you familiar with electronic ignition upgrade kits for these models? That would also be good so not to worry with points/condenser.
