Used my Super M almost daily last week after an ice storm. It ran like a champ but did notice the carb was getting some frost on the top side (that normal?). Sunday I start using it and it wouldn't even back up a hill, sputtering and missing. Running on the governor is how it seemed, as if it was fuel starved. Messed with the fuel lines, not plugged and fuel is coming out fine. Tonight just for grins, put a timing light on it. + and - hooked to the coil and the "sensor" around wire #1. The light would stop blinking when the tractor was sputtering/missing, up to 2 seconds at times. Moved it around to each wire and it was the same way. All wires look tight and not shorting out around the alternator and down to the coil. Anyone have any idea why this would be happening? At least a good place to start looking?
