I've had various types of heads stuck, and I can tell you what I personally do. After trying every gentle method, I take a cold chisel and hammer it between the head and block on one front corner to break the head loose. I just do the front corner just in case it ever does leak (on a vehicle) I would see it right away. I know, everyone's thinking you'll ruin the mating surface, etc. But I've never had a head gasket leak after doing this. When reassembling, hang the head gasket and spray about 4 or 5 heavy coats of high temperature aluminum spray paint on both sides. An old timer showed me this trick. I've never, ever had any head gaskets leak after doing this entire procedure. Many engines. Auto, motorcycle, tractor, lawnmower, etc. It will work! Good luck.
