Brad it certainly wouldn't hurt to drain it out,flush it out until water is clear.Dont forget the drain cock on the side of the block.Afterwards get a coolant system flush and follow the directions.I block off the grille with a old sheet or blanket to get it nice and hot, but dont let it overheat ofcoarse.This will break up some of the remaining deposits.
