Found a degreaser/cleaner made by ZEP at Home Depot. There are two different ones made by ZEP that they carry, Orange & Purple. It just so happened that it was at the opening of a new Home Depot and the rep from ZEP was there. He told me the Purple one (thats the name not just the color) should be kept off of Alum. and to be careful because it was really an industrial degreaser. He actually recomended the Orange one because it wasn't as strong, and wouldn't damage Alum.. Ofcourse I went right for the Purple one and it really does a job on grease. You do not want to use it on any painted surface that you are not going to repaint. It takes the shine right off the paint and does it ever get rid of the grease. As far as the Alum. goes he said it could pit it. I have gotten it on mags before and didn't really see any damage. Also said if I didn't like it they (Home Depot) would refund my money. How can you beat that?????? It works so good that I am afraid that Home Depot will probably quit carrying it. It seems like that happens just when I find a product that I really like. Give it a try, it won't cost you a dime if you don't like it. GOOD LUCK
