Robert with only an acre+ to mow I would go with a large lawn tractor. I have a JD 430 diesel and a 4 year old Agco Allis both with 60" decks and about 20hp, either one will move a lot of snow and mow more grass in an hour than a cub ever thought of.(If you get 3ft at a time disregard the part about snow)
