The oil slinger gear is on the bottom shaft all the way to the back.(PTO end)See if you can stick a screw driver down there and see if it will wiggle around when you push on it. If it wiggles its broke and that could be your noise.Oh you have to take the top off the trans to do this. Somebody else may have some better ideas so good luck.
