300 utility hydrolic

Is it normal for the hydrolic fluid to get hot while just driving the tractor? I had to road the tractor about 10 miles. When I got there the hydrolic pump, lines, and fluid were vary hot. Is this normal? The hydrolics didnt seem to work as well.. hot.

Tractor Traction - by Chris Pratt. Our first bout with traction problems came when cultivatin with our Massey-Harris Pony. Up till then, this tractor had been running a corn grinder and pulling a trailer. It had new unfilled rear tires and no wheel weights.
